Belgium – Holland Preview

Two of the best European sides will face each other on Friday in a game from League A of the UEFA Nations League. Belgium hosts Netherlands in Brussels and it should be a really good game to watch. Let’s preview it in our free sure soccer tips. 

Belgium are one of the best teams in the world in the last decade, but the head coach Roberto Martinez has some problems right now. A few of his biggest stars are not in their best shape and it could affect the team’s performance in a negative way. The captain Eden Hazard had another mediocre season at Real Madrid while Romelu Lukaku’s return to Chelsea didn’t go according to the plan. 

It’s not clear if Hazard will start against Netherlands given his situation. He was called by Martinez, but he could remain on the bench. Right now players like his brother Thorgan Hazard and Yannick Carrasco look in better shape.

 Martinez called three debutants for the next few games. Lois Openda, Amadou Onana and Wout Faes will have the chance to play for a first time for the national team.

 Netherlands are motivated to reach the Nations League final for a first time. Louis van Gaal is hungry for a success with the national team despite his cancer diagnosis. Right now he’s working with the squad and we hope his health will be okay.

 Van Gaal called some of his proven players for the next few games. Barcelona’s Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong are back in the squad while Bologna’s Jerdy Schouten will have the chance to make his debut for the Dutch side. The captain Virgil van Dijk should lead the team again despite his disappointment in the Champions League final last week.
